Do they actually make people weigh their carry-ons while boarding? I was just about to book a ~20,000-mile round trip on AY in J, originating in Toronto, and was planning to take only a carry-on, but as others have pointed out, the 8 kg limit means my carry-on could be no more than maybe half-full.
