I can book SIN-KUL leg on SQ as part of a UA ticket USA-KUL (SQ Q class, earns 0% everywhere but SQ, and its so short)

EF shows that SQ and 3K are valid airlines for SIN-<east-asia>. matrix pulls up 3K for SIN-SGN, cannot get SQ to stick though. goes through priceline/momondo/united.com
often find that USA-(SFO/NRT)-SIN-<east asia> is cheaper than just USA-(SFO/NRT)-SIN, not to mention that it's a single ticket (so better IRROPS handling)
