I know $30k is mentioned a lot, but not all of my flights are on UA metal. Most international flights were in business class and the few domestic were cheap economy.
Agreed with those above. Years when I have been in the low to mid-30s I've missed while years when I've been in the mid 40s to 50s I've made it mostly dependent on the last few years of spend.
