Important information about your booking

Just received an email (mid flight) from BA.

”We wanted to take the opportunity to apologise for any delay or disruption to your journey today. Thunderstorm activity in the London area and inclement weather across Europe has led to several delayed departures and some cancellations.

Air Traffic Control limit the rate of departures and arrivals during these weather conditions to ensure the safe operation of all aircraft. This situation is further compounded by the night-time closure of several European airports, including London Heathrow, meaning we are unable to operate our full schedule of flights.

We apologise if your flight was affected and we want to thank you for your patience and understanding during any delay.”

This is the first time I’ve ever received an email like the above from BA. Have to say I’m impressed. Is this something new?

The only airline that emails me a few minutes after landing is Latam am asking for instant feedback on the flight. It’s the little thing that make you feel valued.
