I’m finding the new French-produced one much more hardwearing than the last one (issued 2015- de la rue?) which started to look tatty within 3 months. Current one makes me look like a tourist

i was wondering about a light sandpapering but not sure if that’s a good idea?

i have been encouraging bag tag sticking and indeed have been removing them from my boarding passes to the front of the passport but it’s not cutting it so far
