As you can see from a few posts, you're not the only one. You may have not known to make sure BVRG was on your BP.
Also, did they find your bag?

On the mobile boarding passes on our phones, there were no comments - I don't even know where they would show up, it was just the QR Code. At bag drop, we each printed a physical BP - with nothing printed on it at all. After complaining, the BP for the return trip had all kinds of "internal use" stuff printed with numeric codes there and that time it worked.
How on earth would an average customer (such as myself) even know they have to look for a BVRG code on a BP? You expect them to know (as they did the return). They had a list in the cabin that they called "the beverage list".
As I mentioned, other friends flying YVR-PVR this past weekend had same problem, so our problem could not have been that unique.
The FA looked at the physical BP and I guess the "comfort" on the top was not enough to motivate her to think that it entitled me to anything. My friends also showed the FA the "comfort" code on top and said the drink should be included, she said no it is not. How can you sell a product when you on-board staff have no clue about it?
Also, because the comfort ticket already includes the baggage fee, they refused to even refund the baggage fee for my delayed baggage. So I will for sure not book comfort class again.
In the winter season we often have 5 direct YVR-PVR flights per day and 5 YVR-MEX-PVR flights a day from a variety of airlines.
WJ for one now has nice new plus cabins on our route that we can book. I have gone from recommending AC over other airlines to looking for something else first.
