X is the BA and oneworld class of service for economy travel awards.

Some X class seats are currently available for travel in December, on Jan 1 and after Jan 9. If I were you, I'd call the BA EC first thing Monday morning (CST - I'm assuming you're a US-based FF), and have them change my reservation so as to secure seats for travel on Jan 1.

Unfortunately, wailisting is not allowed for award travel, so I would keep checking X class availability on the CAI-LHR segment every few hours or at least once a day, in case seats are added to X class inventory for Jan 2-4 travel. You can check award travel availability online, from within your BA EC account, or by calling BA reservations in Egypt. If X class availability for Jan 2-4 were to change, I'd then call BA EC in the US immediately and have them again change my reservation to your preferred date. However, I wouldn't hold my breath for that, as flights on the CAI-LHR route already look quite busy on the first 10 days of January, with even revenue travel availability in WT getting quite scarce.
