I just spent two nights at this hotel going to the beer festival in Qingdao. The stay was pleasant enough, nothing special, but also no complaints. Overall, we were happy with the stay, shame that it was pretty expensive when we visited due to the special event (I presume), as the hotel was at near occupancy based on cheaper rooms selling out whilst my friend was looking for a last minute booking. I'd come back if we returned since it seems to be the best Marriott choice in town.

Titanium elite upgrade was to a junior suite on a mid-level floor (nothing special considering that 30% of the rooms in the hotel are suites)

Breakfast was in either the lounge (much quieter, higher quality products, but more limited selection and no egg chef) or the main breakfast restaurant buffet (huge, extensive selection of Chinese, Japanese and Western choices), however from Western eyes it appeared fairly local and many choices were on the cool side. No complaints, but it was very busy, hence trying the lounge the next day. Next time I'd probably stick to the lounge

Didn't get a chance to see the happy hour lounge spread in the evening, but we did try the lounge bar for a few minutes (empty at 9pm on a Saturday night with no view, so we went to the Intercontinental roof bar, even though there was a live band on playing to nobody). There is a missed opportunity as the lounge is on the 54th floor, so has great views of the city, but it is only available for a few rooms and the lounge... no bar or restaurant.

We did eat lunch at the hotel Chinese ("six senses") restaurant, unlimited dim sum at the weekend for 138 CNY is ok value, it was even cheaper during the weekdays (98 CNY), and the quality was reasonable.
