I'm not talking about english common laws here. I'm talking about doing the right thing. Which in fairness if what EK are saying in that the original reports regarding suspension without pay were incorrect then they have.
If this was Saudia it would be a different kettle of fish in my mind. Saudia isn't out there parading itself as a highly regarded international airline recruiting crew from around the world, plying them with booze and connecting them worldwide via the Benidorm of the middle east.
It's as if airlines like EK have split personalities - they are desperate to appear 'western' or shall we say 'arab super light' to a western audience (along with Qatar). They love a good sponsoring of a european football team and throwing around the Dom. Yet, when it comes to how they treat their staff it's a case of 'that's how it's done here, that's the law'.
