I'm guessing you have these from an Amex with incidental airline credits. I find it kind of ridiculous complain about it being a PITA for you to redeem something that was a loophole anyway.

Just call and redeem more than 3, I haven't heard of a way to consolidate. Don't book and then cancel, as they will refund all of your original $50 gift cards instead of one big credit.
