Question for Taiwan Residents: Outbound Travel/Health Insurance

Question for our Taiwan locals, since amazingly enough, I can't get a clear answer from my own family.

When people travel out of Taiwan, for example to the USA, do any local or regional insurance companies offer temporary health insurance for trips abroad? This is pretty standard for Canadian residents visiting the USA because Canadian health insurance does not cover the full cost of health care abroad.

I imagine Taiwan NHI will not pay a 6 figure medical bill in the USA that would only cost a few thousand back in Taipei, so some form of insurance would be essential, correct?

There are local US companies that offer this, but their rates are outrageous so we don't want to go that route - Plan B is enrolling them in an ACA plan since they are new green card holders if nothing is available from Taiwan.
