However, I would suppose cheap fares (ie subclasses) on Dec 24 onward would be difficult to get. It's all booked out, particularly for 24th, for obvious reason.

I personally believe seasonal setting for North America is too generous. For ex-australia on CX, the high season sticks around until January!
