Pretty OT, but the check in staff are also the gate staff. There are not actually that many of them and they are pretty observing! I almost never check in luggage either and by now, I don't think there is a single one of them who does not (very kindly) recognises not just me but also my partner who flies from NCE a lot less than me and also never checks luggage. If you fly regularly, you may well similarly be recognized regardless of whether you check in luggage or not!
