I think that's a bit extreme. I wouldn't use this as a "resort," per se, but it's a better than decent place to rest your head for the night before or after PPT. I stayed the first night I arrived in French Polynesia and had breakfast. It was perfectly nice and acceptable. On the way home, we had quite a bit of time to kill after arriving from Moorea and before our midnight flight back to LAX. It was great to take a quick taxi ride to the IC Tahiti and relax in the cocktail lounge/bar/restaurant outside. They had a great band playing and we enjoyed the sunset, food, drinks, and the planes arriving/taking off.
