You might have a bit of exceptional leeway depending on the time of the flight.
They have a 7:35 to LHR. Twenty minutes or so before departure they will close check in. And won't reopen before 9:30 for the LCY 11:20 departure. Starting at 17:20, BA has a lot of lfights departing.and their check-in counters are continuously open. But they have long queues if flights are heavily loaded and might not appreciate if you try to check in 3 hours early while pax for earlier flights are waiting. Your flight will not be shown on a check in desk screen..
