Even a cab might take forever to reach you. I rerouted to LAX last month when a flight to BUR was cancelled and there were no cabs at T6 and later - they were all filling up and leaving the airport before they got to the later terminals. There were people at taxi stands who had been waiting a while and no cabs at all. And it was half an hour for an Uber or Lyft just to get picked up.
