Midway is the closest agency to the terminal. The next closest is several blocks further away.
I've rented from quite a few LAX-area companies and have generally found that they're all among the worst I've dealt with anywhere. Maybe Midway is less awful -- its Google reviews are certainly much better than any of the others.
