So it was a 777-300 I believe.
One of the highlights was just how quiet it was. There were only 4 of us in the first class cabin and only one other person on my side. This in combination with multiple curtains between first class and anywhere else made it feel like I was on my own private plane.
The little touches with the service also made a big difference - “the teacups are quite small Sir so I’ll bring you a pot” - and getting to know the cabin crew.
The new Temperley PJs and amenity lit is also lovely, especially with the BA100 branding.
Oh....and I can recommend watching Avengers Endgame at 38,000 feet while quaffing champagne, but I guess BA can’t take credit for the quality of the film!
My only other trip in First was a return to LA before Christmas using Avios and the outbound was in the nose of the 747. One to tick off my list of ‘must dos’ but my goodness the front wheel (directly beneath my seat) sounded like it needed oiling!!!!
