If you have a Alipay or Wechat account then a friend in China who trusts you may effectively add you as a trusted friend on their account, letting you use your account to make payments through their account. You then settle up separately with your friend.

Note we don't have any feedback yet on how well this works or any problems with it. So it's potentially there, but not assured.
