I have heard a couple of stories regarding how to get a courtesy card. One story holds that it is offerred only from hotel managers. Another story is that it is only by invitation from Hyatt executive management. Either way, it is by invitation only and not based upon objective criteria.

I have also heard from various fromt desk staff that its perks surpasses my Lifetime Diamond status by a longshot.
