That's pretty bad. Although, the last couple times I've been on a nut-allergy flight, the announcement was made inside the plane during boarding so end result is the same in not being able to go get your own replacement snacks.
That said; if you have dietary restrictions on that long of a flight, why did you not order a special meal? Or are you saying you had brought your own food but could not eat it due to the allergy restriction?
