If you are referring to the Skiplagged ruling in the US, it was thrown out due to jurisdiction issues. It has no bearing on whether or not HCT prohibitions in airline's CoC's are legal or not in the US.
It sounds like UA took the hint and dropped the case. If they believe they have a case, they should bring it up again.
