Yes, something like this comes up:
On older, Ingenico terminals which are monochrome it looks more cluttered and it's hard to read at times, but the conversion rate will be there somewhere. An aware customer will know what is going on, but to be fair this doesn't tell regular people much, because usually it is given as a X.XX USD = 1 PLN. I wonder if that is done on purpose, as people will be more familiar with knowing how much 1 USD would equal in PLN than the other way around. But nevertheless, it is there. Often you have to hit "No" or a Red button which prompts you to "Cancel" which would give customer a feeling that they are cancelling a transaction.
I have not come across a situation where I was not given a choice, so that much is good. But it seems like it's everywhere you insert or do contactless above the no authorization limit.
