I'd like to get the morning BA flight from LHR to avoid a late night arrival into IST which makes a morning ex-EU connection virtually impossible without a extra night in AMS/BRU etc. JER is out as it would involve a change from LGW to LHR.
Not that it'll be particularly cheap or worthwhile, but could you do a back-to-back to JER or AMS the night before?
