Proof of Insurance?

FWIW I have never heard of anyone from the USA being fined if they have the normal USA proof of insurance usually carried in the glove compartment or are in a rental car.

MisterNice: Are you saying that the insurance company-issued I.D. card will suffice or actually bring a copy of the policy? Thanks for clarifying.
