I find the question "why is 'X' so expensive..." a strange one that gets posed by people everywhere and often.

Why is a house 60KMs from the downtown core of Vancouver north of a million dollars? Because people like me say it's worth it when we pull out our wallets and pay it.

Things cost what the market says they should.
