It was a longstanding Marriott policy not to publish emails.
Beginning last August, they forced the SPG properties to remove them from their websites, too.
It's my understanding Arne also wanted to remove phone numbers and rely exclusively on carrier pigeons ("our guests prefer that"), but the Board was concerned about bad publicity from the ASPCA.
