In the universe of ULCCs, there is no logic to what is charged for and not.
When using these carriers, just assume that
- The flight WILL be delayed - probably hours but maybe days
- There will be NOTHING supplied
- You will be dinged in fees at every possible turn
- It will be very uncomfortable
Taking that approached has served me well and has resulted in probably thousands of dollars in savings, but there have been a couple of horror stories along the way. I NEVER use them for business travel. Do to so would be madness.
