I've flown quite a few segments in the last three weeks, so I managed to visit various SCs (RDU, SLC, ATL, DTW, MSP, JFK). I wouldn't say they're always full because I manage to find a seat every time, but "pretty busy" seems to apply. About the only difference with the terminal these days is less announcements on the overhead speakers, but it doesn't feel like a quiet-isn place to relax or get work done.

As for the food... meh.
