Sadly I never got to fly one. I grew up in New York in the 80s and 90s and we were an AA family. My only shot at one was on a Delta trip to Florida where I "only" got to a fly a 767-200 from ATL-FLL. There was an L-1011 flying that day but it was really delayed and we had Marlins tickets.

However, growing up I flew many AA DC-10s, typically JFK-LAX/SFO and LAX/SFO-HNL. That family loyalty to AA made me feel the DC-10 was superior to the L-1011 hence the 10 in CMK10
