If you don't need a zippered case, you might be better off with Shield Lock 2 76 cm spinner that's also on their website for £125. Seams on Zips on cheaper cases tend to be more prone to failure.
Thanks for the tips. I may give the hairdryer fix a go, although even if it works, I would be a little worried that it may have weakened the plastic.

They did not offer the Shield Lock, although as its the same price I don't see why I could not ask for it (if they have it in stock).

The Wessex is "ABS/PC" whereas the Shield is polyproylene. Not sure whether one is more durable than the other ?

Any feedback on either model would be appreciated.
