Apparently I’m over my limit category. I received 1.75% back on a $600 restaurant bill. I made a home improvement charge on June 30 and posted on July 2. I got the 5.25% for that. I guess that went towards this quarter. Then i selected restaurant category for July. I assumed the categories are based on transactions and not post date. At least that’s how chase does it. That really sucks.

Update: just spoke to BofA rep and she said it goes by posting date and not transaction date. Chase is the opposite. 🙄
