Wanted to resurrect this thread to see if anyone has had any recent experience with a same day standby change. I have a First Class Suites award redemption on SQ (LHR-SIN) -- right now my booking is on an A380 that is unlikely to have the new suite configuration. However, there is an earlier flight on the same day that WILL be the new A380 config. Can I show up and get on the earlier flight? I suspect it is unlikely that the Suites cabin will be sold out so I have to think that there will be a spare seat (only 1 pax).

Anyone with experience with this type of change?
