I am currently looking for an elite status with an OW carrier, preferably BA.

I am LH SEN and quite happy with it. My flights are mainly Australia - Asia - Europe in paid biz. 4-5 times a year.

The reason for me to look for OW is the single aircraft connections to Europe on BA and QF.

A real drawback for me with BA is their tier point system. To reach silver get 700 points. After that fly another 1200 points to reach Gold.
Only then you'll get the 100% bonus on miles. Which is what I am after.

AA would give me PLAT and 100% bonus even if I start from scratch. A single flight SYD-LHR finishes their challenge.

Any chances to get BA Gold comped? Would it help to demonstrate BA 180+K flight miles with *A carriers in the last 12 month?
