I had the same issue. I waited a month before faxing in all my receipts and boarding passes. A few days later I received credit on the basis of a discount economy fare. However, upon scrutinizing the receipt issue by AM, the fare basis was NLNN08OG and DL seemed to interpret that as a discount economy "N" fare. I reached out to DL on Twitter, and after providing jpg's of my boarding passes and itinerary, I was able to have the fare credited as an "I" fare, which it was. ITA shows an AM business class fare with a fare basis of ELNN0XOS but a booking code of "I."
I'm having issues with getting some AM flights credited properly. DL is trying to use the fare basis in the ticket receipt to match the fare code, matching a Business class fare to discount economy. Where did you find the ITA fare class breakdown? My boarding pass doesn't show the fare, other than showing my seat. The ticket receipt does show a Fare Family spelled out: "PREMIER" for the Business ticket and "FLEXIBLE" for the Full Economy fare. I've been e-mailing back and forth with Delta and pointing out that Fare Family. I'll try Twitter next, but would like to be able to point out the proper way to interpret the Fare Class.
