Vietnam beach holiday
So, we took advantage of the latest QR J ex-ARN sale and arriving in SIN on 27th Jan, returning from SGN two weeks later.
Our plan is a couple of days in Singapore at the beginning, and HCMC at the end with a beach resort type holiday in the middle (with a bit of exploring thrown in).
Initial plan is flying SIN-DAD on 29th and basing ourselves around there for the beach type holiday for about a week (obviously adding in seeing Hoi An and surrounds), before flying down to SGN to go home. Currently considering the Victoria Hoi An to stay in.
Although a few questions... The SIN-DAD flight is now an exortionate £198 each one way with Silkair (I know Jetstar fly, but only at 1800 on the 30th, this would give us too long in SIN), and I wonder whether there might be better beach type places available. We'd like sun and decent temperatures so Northern Vietnam is out at that time of year.
Where else would you recommend? Mui Ne and Phu Quoc seem like options, although there seems little else other than resorts themselves, I've heard horror stories about Nha Trang.
Ideally non-stop flights from SIN and back to SGN (the other half isn't a fan of sitting around airports and I think the ex-EU thing might push him over the edge anyway!). It doesn't have to be Vietnam either. Looking at accommodation around the £100-150/night range.
Cheers!
