Passport checks at BRU have been a [bad] joke for quite some time now. The time and place to avoid at all cost are respectively morning between 7–9 and A—B: absolute chaos and, if you try even to merely approach members of staff seeking help, they just wouldn’t give a toss. I believe this has something to do with the border police being significantly under-staffed. It reminds me of CDG & FCO in the ‘dark days’.
