How about Continental, operating 747, DC-10, and A300 service between Gatwick and Newark

No, it was not Continental. So far as I know CO acquired its A300s from Eastern and the aircraft were never configured or used for International services aside from Mexico. Additionally, I believe the model Eastern operated - the A300B2 - did not have the legs for Trans-Atlantic operations. Please, guess again!
