My former employer required the use of Egencia (boo) and as such I stayed around 100 nights at non-Hilton properties over the course of a couple years traveling to downtown San Francisco. For me it was not worth it to walk an extra few blocks to a Hilton property when there was a property closer to where I needed to be when I was a nobody at both places.
