I've booked a 1st class saver DB ticket. I had some questions about DB. (My prev experience on DB has only been FRA-QKL Airrail

)
1. My reserved seat is a non-smoking, window, with a video screen. Are these solo seats in a 2x1 pattern, or are they pairs in a 2x2.
The seating config is 1-2. All seats in first have video (except the ones in the middle facing each other over a table). The reservations agent can book either a solo, desk or twin seat. The only thing they can't do is tell which way the train will be moving and so you might end up sitting facing backwards. But from my experience, first class is never full, so just ask the personell to move.
2. Any idea what is shown on the video, and is there anything in English at all.
No English content. In fact it's pretty useless stuff IMHO. Bring a book / laptop with DVD. All seats should have power ports (check with reservations!)
3. Are food/drink included on board in the ticket price. (Like in the LH Airrail.) Or do they have to be bought separately. If so are they delivered to the seat/trolley service or does one have to go to the bordbistro.
It's pay-as-you-eat

You will have a menu where you can order from. This will be deliverd to your seat. For a larger selection, go to the bistro.
4. Could I access the DB 1st class lounges (especially at AMS) with a 1st saver ticket, and no DB loyalty card of any type.
Yes, no problem.
5. Is there any loyalty card I could sign up for to earn any points/miles for this trip...
It's called Bahn.Comfort - but why bother?....and no way to convert into miles!
