I see this as an aircraft swap from 787-9 (#104 originally) to 787-8 (now
#2104 )
And it's way cleaner to handle a "cancelled" and renumbered flight than it is to deal with a downgauge and potentially significant overbooking (by ~47) with all those GTE'd pax standing at the gate at departure time.
