FRA-PEK does indeed get the mattress and sleep shirt in both directions (LH720/721), which is overnight east-bound and a day flight back. Sleep shirts were proactively offered on both occasions.

I think the mattress is meant to cover from just below the headrest down towards the "toe" of the seat - i.e. not onto the footrest. But yes, agree it seems a bit short, even for that.
