Say what you will about the mobs and jostling and standee bus rides, the FRA bus-gate operation is pretty amazing and nailed down. They have a giant bus infrastructure in the bowels of the terminals that rivals the Port Authority, only cleaner and easier to figure out. Whenever I've done a bus-gate trick in the US it feels like they just sorted things out 20 minutes ago. Glorified school buses, indeed.
