Less an "enhancement" than a "never-was". Pre-merger CO 777s and 764s were not equipped with gaspers and the retrofit is a massive undertaking... not happening. Same for the 3 ex-HA 763s (76L). Fortunately, all post-merger widebody new deliveries have come with gaspers.

You might also be surprised (as I was) to know that Lufthansa and Swiss are two such "second rate", third-world" airlines that have declined the gasper option on new deliveries (A330/A380/350/748/77W).
