Poking around for the cheapest way to book a Virgin Atlantic RT I need. I want to be able to choose my seat, so basic economy appears to be out of the question. I did notice I could pull up a cheaper "standard economy" VS fare on KLM's website, but it was clearly the lowest rung of economy. No cancellation etc. The terms said it was "N" class, but I could not see anywhere whether this allowed for free seat selection. Perhaps this is the default and unless it says otherwise I should assume I can. However, I wanted to confirm that if I go ahead and buy, I will be able to select my seat when I pull it up on the Virgin site. The difference in price is fairly substantial -- around $150 -- and seemed worth it to me as I definitely won't be changing the flight. I did look through the forums here and elsewhere on the web (for instance: https://v-flyer.com/toolbox_fare_codes.php?code=N), but was still short of confirmation. Thanks!
