Yes, that extra hop / water transfer from and to SXM is very annoying, especially after what can be a two-hop flight. Used to be able to fly nonstop from SJ Puerto Rico but no longer. Might make sense to hire private plane from another nearby island into Anguilla.
Wonder if the beach has changed — turquoise waters clear and sparkling when we were there, mostly very calm. Soft white sand.
We stayed st the Meridian Club on its own private island in the T&C years sgo. Beach there much rougher than CJ, and the mosquitos awful.
I really think I enjoyed my stay for the most part till the extra transfer comes to mind. lol! Again, not a big deal for some people but Turks and Caicos is just easier for me to get to and just as nice.
Water is still very good and because we experienced moderate wind (which was welcomed!) and waves, the water may have been less turquoise than usual. But the sand was indeed white and extremely soft. Again, better than what you see at Amanyara or Provo. But slightly less white and soft than what I found at Parrot Cay.
