HONOLULU -- Tropical Storm Estelle is rapidly weakening and won't become a hurricane, according to the National Weather Service

However, forecaster Ray Tanabe predicts the storm will bring showers and 8-foot surf to the Big Island.

He said the rest of the state should see increased cloudiness and a slight increase in showers Tuesday and Wednesday.

Estelle is forecast to pass 120 miles south of the Big Island on Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning....."
