For those who have booked multiple reservations (points plus chase free nights), what is the best way to try to link these? Contact the hotel directly?

Can anyone provide some additional information on the ocean in front of the Seafire? I'm going with a friend who isn't the best swimmer but still likes to get in the water. Is the ocean relatively calm if the weather is nice? Does it remain shallow for awhile before getting deep? Thanks!
