I’ll take a suite, a nice club, and a gorgeous pool over that (for a similar price) any day.

The Disney “benefits” are overblown. I get some hate driving but I prefer a rental car over waiting up to an hour for a “magical” express or a sweaty bus to and from the parks.
actually, I usually stay at The Contemporary or Polynesian resort, though I also really enjoy the cabins at FW, which are free standing little homes and bigger than the GC suites. I also don’t use the magical express. I do use the ear,y and late hours, plus the ability to book my rides 3 months in advance.

I also don’t use the club much on Disney days, nor the pool.

We all value things differently. I’ve been staying at the grand cypress for decades. Parking used to be free and there wasn’t a resort fee. Adding $62 to the room rate, which on some days this summer is 30% of the room cost is highway robbery. YMMV though.
