Are you open to ex-EU, with or without stopovers? I’ve just booked MUC-LHR-HKG-MEL-PER-SIN-LHR-MUC in WTP for £1300, then upgraded the BA legs using a GUF. I’ve compromised a little on quality as PER-SIN is a 2-class only route on Qantas, but that’s where I wanted to go.

I’m overnighting in HKG, PER and SIN to catch up with friends although only SIN is actually a stopover. That also means that I’m not doing an overnight in CX PE although you could do both ways in BA WTP/J from SIN-SYD, but availability is better this way.

I think it allows European stopovers too, so you could combine it with personal or business trips to and from Germany a few weeks or months off departure, although of course, I live here.
